April 21, 2026---A distinguished delegation led by Prof. Zhang Lixin from Northwest A&F University, Shaanxi, China, visited the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, accompanied by Dr. Yang (Associate Professor) and Dr. Rui Guo. The visit marked an important step toward strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

During the meeting, both sides held productive discussions on areas of mutual interest, including the establishment of joint research initiatives, promotion of student and faculty exchange programs, and development of agricultural demonstration parks. Opportunities for jointly applying for international research grants to address emerging challenges in agricultural biotechnology were also explored.

Director CEMB, Prof. Dr. Moazur Rahman, presented an overview of ongoing research activities at the Centre, highlighting key achievements and future directions in molecular biology and crop improvement. The delegation expressed keen interest in the innovative work being carried out at CEMB.

Following the discussions, the visiting team toured various state-of-the-art laboratories, interacting with researchers and students. The visit concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing a strong commitment to fostering long-term collaboration and academic partnership.
